I am often asked why I became a Real Estate Agent after retiring from the Federal Government after 20 years of service. The answer is simple: it was a natural and logical progression. Real estate was a family business all my life. I was born and raised in South Carolina. My father and grandfather before him were real estate investors dating back to the 1930s. Even though I initially pursued a different career, I started investing in real estate myself as a young adult. While my career took my family to Northern Virginia, family vacations brought us back to Myrtle Beach every year. In 2012, my wife and I decided we wanted to call Myrtle Beach our permanent home and focused our real estate investing around the Myrtle Beach area. We own and manage several rental properties in Myrtle Beach, including weekly vacation rentals. When considering a post-retirement second career, becoming a real estate agent was an easy and natural choice. My mission is to help others buy or sell the perfect home, or investment property, in the Myrtle Beach area.
